Legal Resources Centre (LRC) will be closed from Feb 2 to 8, 2011

Due to Chinese New Year Holidays and relocation to a new location,  the Legal Resources Centre (LRC) will be closed from Feb 2 (Wednesday) to Feb 8, 2011 (Tuesday). It will re-open on Feb 9 (Wednesday)  in  a new location  on  the same floor of the Graduate Law Centre (2/F, the Bank of America Tower, Central).

Subject Guides to Resources for Term Two 2010/11

The library has uploaded "subject guides to resources" for Term Two 2010/11 on its website.  These guides include major resources, textbooks, law reports, journals etc. on these subjects to assist your legal research for these. Lexis.com Enhancements

Lexis.com has created two new features. Please refer to the attached screens for more information on these two new feautures.

       1. Add Hong Kong Lawyer URL in the home page of the database Lexis.com
     2. Created Commonwealth Journal under Journals tab

eResources Week 2011

The University Library System is please to announce the launch of eResources Week 2011 to promote the use of academic research resources. Programmes include an online quiz, games, database workshops and vendor exhibits.


Prizes of the online quiz include a Fujitsu notebook computer, iPads, iPod Touches and more. All participants of the online quiz will automatically enter our LUCKY DRAW to win an iPad or iPod Touch. Details are as follows:

Hong Kong’s War Crimes Trials Collection (‘HKWCT Collection’)

The HKWCT Collection is part of a project funded by the Hong Kong SAR government’s Research Grants Council. The Collection’s website provides details of, and access to, the case files of 46 trials involving 123 persons who were tried in Hong Kong for war crimes committed during the Second World War. Due to restrictions imposed by the copyright holder, The National Archives, it is only possible for persons based at one of the universities in Hong Kong to have full access to the case files. However, other documents are available to everyone.
