CLEAR sessions on Law (Group 8), (Group 9) & Chinese Law



The Centre for Learning Enhancement and Research (CLEAR) is organizing two identical training sessions on Advanced Legal Research skills (Group 8 and 9), and one training session on Chinese Law.

The sessions on Advanced Legal Research skills (Group 8 and 9) will cover how to search cases, legislation, journal articles and other secondary sources using Lexis, Westlaw and various other case law and journal databases. Students have to choose “Locating Information” in Course/Workshop then choose the Group: 8 or 9 by pulling down the menu

The session on Chinese Law will cover how to do Chinese legal research using PKUlaw, Lexis, Westlaw China, CNKI and other journal databases. Students need to select “Locating Information (Chinese Law)” in the “Course/Workshop” menu. 

Please note that Group 8 will be held at the CUHK Shatin main campus, and Group 9 and session on Chinese Law will be held at the Graduate Law Centre (GLC) in Central. 

Students wishing to register for one of these training sessions must register at https://apps.itsc.cuhk.edu.hk/clear/logon.asp and use their Computing ID and CWEM password to login.

The Third Issue of the Law Library Newsletter
