United States Treaty Series on the Law Library of Congress

The United States Treaty Series has been added to the Law Library of Congress website. "This collection includes treaties that the United States signed with other countries from 1776 to 1949. The collection consists of 13 volumes: four volumes of multilateral treaties, eight volumes of bilateral treaties and one volume of an index".

For easy searching, the Law Library has inserted CUHK EasySearch and Google Scholar search boxes on each LibGuide on the Law Library’s webpage. To better facilitate communication between our users, the Law Library has included different channels of communication in our Need Help box.

Wolters Kluwer / CCH PrimeLaw

The Law Library has recently subscribed to Wolters Kluwer / CCH PrimeLaw, a legal database combining legislation, case law, commentary and journal searching. PrimeLaw includes 60 ebook titles, more than 9,500 reported cases (Hong Kong and UK) and consists of the most comprehensive Hong Kong company law cases.

The key features of PrimeLaw are as follows:

Legislation
- Contains ordinances and subsidiary legislation of Hong Kong, and legislation of PRC.
- Legislative changes are updated weekly.

Cases
- Hong Kong Company Law Cases (HKCLC) – largest collection of reported Company
- Law cases of Hong Kong (with headnotes).
- Covers the Hong Kong court decisions from 1877 to present.
- 238 cases decided by the UK Privy Council can be found.
- Cases are updated twice every day.
- 0ver 100,000 UK court judgments across different topics.

Commentary
- More than 60 titles covering a broad range of topics.

Journals
- Highly popular journal on negotiation, Tan Pan, is now online.
- Other journals include: China Tax Intelligence and China STAFF.

Tracker
- Covers legal and tax updates and developments in HK and China.

News
- Up-to-date news on law and enforcement is delivered timely.

Users can type in titles or keywords directly on the Search box on the Home page OR go directly to each tab to search for specific materials.

A new resource named Global Gender Equality Constitutional Database has been added into the Internet Resources - United Nations section on our Lee Quo Wei Law Library's website.

What is the Global Gender Equality Constitutional Database?

The Global Gender Equality Constitutional Database is a repository of gender equality related provisions extracted from 195 constitutions from around the world. The countries are organized according to five geographical regions (Africa, Americas, Asia, Europe and Oceania) and are reflective of the Member States and Territories of the United Nations. Although a number of constitutional websites and resources that contain constitutions on a global scale are available, this Global Gender Equality Constitutional Database is the first searchable database that specifically presents constitutional provisions through a gender lens.
