Support for your Upcoming Exams


The final examinations will begin soon! Below are some tips to help you prepare.

Plan Your Study Time
Make your study schedule practical, flexible and realistic.  Your Library provides over 4,000 seats for your quiet study during the daytime.  On top of the 24-hour study facilities, the Library has also implemented the following special arrangements during the examination period.
University Library:  
  • The Learning Garden is open 24 hours.
  • The Ground Floor of the UL New Extension is open 24 hours and designated as a silent study zone at night. (8 April – 10 May, 2019)
Chung Chi College Elizabeth Luce Moore Library:
  • is open to 2 am. (15 April - 10 May, 2019)
  • Its Late Reading Room opens
    • Monday to Friday: 9:30 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. (next day) ;
    • Saturday to Sunday: 6:30 pm (Sat) - 9:00 am (the following Monday)
Architecture Library (open 24 hours for School of Architecture staff and students)
Learning Commons at 6th Floor of Wu Ho Man Yuan (WMY) Building is open 24 hours
New Asia College Ch’ien Mu Library:
  • Late Reading Room is open 24 hours. (11 April – 11 May, 2019)
United College Wu Chung Library:
  • Lower Ground Floor is open 24 hours.
Li Ping Medical Library at Prince of Wales Hospital is open 24 hours

Past Exam Papers
Go through the past exam papers to review what kind of questions have been set in the past and the relationship between the questions and the course content.

Study in Groups
Teamwork and collaborative learning can be fun and useful.  Bubble Group Study Rooms in the Learning Garden and Group Study Rooms in Learning Commons are open 24 hours during the exam.

Take Short Breaks to Relax
Take a short break and play chess in the Chess and Games area in the Learning Garden if you feel bored or cannot concentrate on your study. To restore your willpower, have a hot beverage and some snacks in the Refreshment Zone.
Free candies are available at the Ground Floor counters of the University Library, Learning Garden and branch libraries during examination time.
